Summer Reading Everywhere Action Grants bring literacy into boxing gyms, rooftops, and family homes

This summer, the Oakland Literacy Coalition’s Reading Everywhere Action Grants program is bringing books and literacy programming directly into the heart of our community. From rooftop celebrations to boxing gyms, from family childcare homes to transitional shelters, these 37 projects demonstrate that literacy truly can happen anywhere when passionate community members lead the way:
