Literacy is #BiggerThanBooks

For some, the skill of literacy is solely about books and how much you enjoy reading them. However, would you consider that an individual’s ability to read correlates to their quality of life? In almost every major social issue we face today, those who are unable to read are significantly more likely to be affected by that problem.

As a coalition, we are mobilizing a citywide movement of 80 organizations to combat this crisis at the earliest stages. The ability to read is a fundamental right- one that all Oakland youth are entitled to. Your donation allows us to continue to provide spaces where all kids learn and love to read. Remember – literacy is bigger than books…

Will you give today?
