Applied Survey Research, an outside evaluation consultancy to study impact of it's literacy program on students and parents:
 

• BMAB’s goal was 600 and registers “overall performance and quality of programs measured according to “the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Evaluation.” BMAB’s score for children’s literacy programs in Oakland was the third highest of nine grantees.
• The goals evaluated in the SPI index score are related to “the delivery of planned amount of service, recipient/client satisfaction, and community-based asset development.”
